大学でアメリカ政治を専攻。大手保険会社に20年勤務。政治学を志て約30年、「理想の政治とは何か」を追い求めてきました。

世界史全集を、中央公論社（全30巻）や河出文庫（全24巻）にて読破。唐の太宗の政治議事録「貞観政要」などを通読。世界宗教を学びます。その結果、どのような政治システムであっても、結局は人格の高邁さによって、善政が敷かれるという結論に至ります。人格が高邁な指導者の下の市民は、いったて幸福であると言うことです。

今、人類に共通して言えることは、市民を愛し、市民への奉仕に全力を傾注している指導者の少ないことです。

さて、3.11の未曾有の危機を経験した日本。そして人類に求められるものは、これまでの価値観の見直し作業ではないだろうか。その中で、我々が考慮しなければならないのは、「こころ」。自身の「こころ」と向き合い、価値観を再構築すべきです。

そして、最も大切なことは、富貴・功名・名利などの私利私欲などから離れ、この危機に対して、対応できるリーダーが求められます。どれもこれも大事なことばかりのなかにあって、優先順位をつけ、その優先順位のもと、単純な命令系統による上位下達こそが、混迷を回避する唯一の手段。我々は、その自己犠牲精神に溢れたリーダーを戴かねばならないのです。そのリーダー学こそが、真の政治学ではないでしょうか。

そして、無私行為/自己犠牲の愛を実践できるリーダー探しの旅は、果てしなく続きます・・・・・。
