Peter Devonald is a multi award-winning scriptwriter and producer, operating in both the creative and corporate fields. His intelligent, tightly-structured writing has underpinned short films, features, television and online series. His work has shown in over 80 film festivals, including in competition at Venice, Angers Premiers Plans, Encounters, Foyle, L.A and BFI London. Awards include a Bafta nomination, Best Drama at New York, Main Jury Prize & Best Short Wood Green, Virgin Media Finalist (212 cinema screenings for a year), ‘Cutting Hedge’ best film at Branchage and Best Short Film Kyiv "Molodist".

Peter currently has several ongoing feature commissions including: GUY’S REQUIEM *** Commissioned true life story based on WWII POW’s letters. Exec Producers: John Nicolson and Pamela Blundell. His latest filmed short is PICTURE PERFECT IZM Productions. Dir. Irina Izmestieva. Produced by Rebecca Knapp (Frozen, Popcorn, Spark Pictures). DOP Philip Robertson (Frozen, The Wolfman). Peter was one of the writers of the Bafta nominated THOSE SCURVY RASCALS (dir. Oli Hyatt. Entara Ltd/ Blue-Zoo), which won best Children's Series and Choice Award at the 10th British Animation Awards.
